Dendwin is an ancestral being recorded in the Maprik district as the lower tier of masks on the painted facade of the great korambo at Apangai, ranged beneath the images of Puti. The name is thinly documented outside firsthand field observation, and sources differ on its referent: some accounts fold Dendwin into Puti as another name of the one provider-spirit, while the distinct row of facade masks that bears the name suggests a being displayed in his own right beside, and subordinate to, the central ancestor.
