Artabazus II

Fourth-century BCE Persian satrap of Hellespontine Phrygia and father of Artakama. After serving Darius III, he joined Alexander, who appointed him to Bactria; he later retired from that office on grounds of age. He is distinct from Artabazus I, the earlier commander and satrap.
