Sudika-Mbambi

Ambundu · demigod · heroic age · demigod

Half-divine firstborn twin son of the daughter of the Sun and Moon (deity-tier mother) by Nzua dia Kimanaueze (mortal father). The eponymous thunderbolt-figure of Ambundu meteorological theology — the rolling thunder heard from east to west during storms is his voice calling to his twin Kabundungulu in the west. Wonder-child birth-pattern (spoke from womb, named himself, born equipped with knife, stick, and kilembe life-tree). The kilembe-life-tree-soul-token, the descent-to-underworld-for-second-wife, the death-and-resurrection-by-twin-brother all establish him as one of the most narratively elaborate Bantu demigod-heroes. Eventually established stronghold in the East and apotheosized as thunder-god.
