BEDE NAMES TWO GODDESSES IN ONE PASSAGE AND THE REGISTRY TOOK ONE. Eostre was held; Hretha, attested in the same work by the same author in the same construction, was not — and the difference between them is that one of them gave her name to Easter. That is lane 16's mechanism in its purest form: a corpus that grows by adding the name people know. The record notes, as the sources do, that she is attested SOLELY by Bede. Carries a verified-solitary verdict.
