Babinga

Banyaruanda king of the imandwa-spirits; father of the demigod Ryangombe by the mortal-with-shapeshifter-powers Kalimulore. The imandwa class are the superior-spirit order in the Banyaruanda supernatural taxonomy, mediating between the supreme creator Imana and the human world; Babinga as their king is the apex of the imandwa hierarchy. The union with Kalimulore and the resulting birth of Ryangombe is the foundational genealogical claim of the Kubandwa cult's initiatic tradition.
