Eguzki

Eguzki (Eki / Ekhi), the Sun, daughter of Amalur and sister of the Moon (Ilargi). Conceived as feminine, the 'grandmother' and the eye of day, protector of humanity and enemy of night-spirits; she sinks each evening through Itxasgorrieta into the earth-womb. The eguzkilore is her emblem. Documented by Barandiarán and Caro Baroja (secondary).
