Entered as a deity (a Baule amwin power). The cup-bearing monkey figure is widely called 'gbekre'; 'Mbotumbo' is recorded (Vogel) as a name for such men's-society power objects. 'amwin/amuin' = object/being of power. Principal scholarship: Vogel (1997).
