Apistotoke (Ihtsipaitapiiyo'pa, the Source of Life), the abstract Blackfoot creator and originator of the cosmic order and the Sky Beings, formless and distinct from the Sun. Naato'si the Sun was created by Apistotoke as the first and chief of the Sky People. Named in both the blackfoot_napi entry (the abstract creator Apistotoke) and the blackfoot_natosi entry (created by the abstract Apistotoke). Modern Blackfoot tradition keeps Apistotoke, Naato'si and Napi strictly distinct.
