Sumedha

NO EDGE IS DRAWN TO SAKYAMUNI, AND THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT. The tradition identifies Sumedha as the Buddha's own former self, which is a claim about identity across rebirths — and THIS REGISTRY HAS NO KIND FOR THAT. Lane 17 escalated exactly this over Sati and Parvati and declined to invent one, because a kind for identity-across-lives would then apply to the avatars, the jatakas and every tradition with rebirth in it. TYPE mortal, because he is an ascetic in a story and not a god, and vitalStatus deceased, because whatever the tradition means by what happened to him, he is not walking around.
