Datu Palingeq, Queen of the Upperworld

Datu Palingeq is the queen of the Upperworld Boting Langiq and the wife of Patotoqe, the supreme fate-god of the Bugis La Galigo cycle. As the ordering consort of the creator, she is consulted by Patotoqe when he resolves to people the empty Middleworld, and she is the mother of their eldest son Batara Guru (La Togeq Langiq), who is sent down to found the kingdom of Luwuq. Through this son the divine couple become the apical ancestors of the human dynasties of the epic.
