Domalongdong is the Bukidnon divinity of the north wind. In Fay-Cooper Cole's foundational ethnography he is one of four wind-deities, each governing a cardinal quarter, who assist the supreme god Magbabaya: Domalongdong of the north, Ognaling of the south, Tagolambong of the east, and a divinity of the west. The winds held particular importance in an agricultural highland society, and each was personified and placed under the charge of its own named spirit subordinate to Magbabaya. He stands among the lesser but individually named divinities of the Bukidnon pantheon, whose cooperation was sought, like that of the other ruling spirits, through offerings of food and drink.
