Byatta, the foreign-born strongman taken into the service of King Anawrahta as his Mount Popa flower-gatherer; husband of the ogress Me Wunna and father of the Taungbyon Brothers (Shwe Hpyin Naungdaw and Nyidaw). Executed for lingering with Me Wunna and failing his duty, he became a nat. Named in the two Taungbyon-brother entries as the sons of Byatta and the ogress Me Wunna.
