Yatpan

Yatpan does the killing in a story the registry already carried both ends of: Aqhat and Paghat were in the corpus and the man between them was not. Anat wants the composite bow Kothar made for the boy, offers him silver and gold and then immortality for it, and is told no — with a line about how bows are not for women that the poem plainly intends as a fatal mistake. She gets El's permission, hires Yatpan, carries him over the field disguised among birds of prey, and drops him on Aqhat. Then Paghat goes looking for him with a knife under her clothes and a jug of wine, and the tablet breaks.
