the Rain-Shrine God

A territorial-cult name/aspect of the Chewa supreme being (deity), centred on the Chisumphi rain-shrines of the central region. Distinct from but parallel to the M'bona cult of the lower Shire; both are forms of the high-god's rain-giving worship.
