the Uncle Diviner

Mortal. The name Mlauli derives from kulaula, 'to divine'. He appears as M'bona's uncle/elder and rival diviner whose jealousy drives the martyrdom; in some recensions a figure of the displaced Mang'anja senior rainmaker.
