Kherty

Kherty is a god whose name outran his story. He is attested archaeologically from the Second Dynasty and nobody knows what he did then; four dynasties later the Pyramid Texts show him in the Duat, ferrying the dead and apparently dangerous, since one spell asks Ra to keep the king out of his hands. Then he fades. The record says what is attested and leaves the two-hundred-year gap where it is.
