Renenutet

Renenutet gives you your name and your first meal, and then looks after the grain. The name is the important part: Egyptian magic works on names, so a secret name given at the breast and never uttered is a lifelong protection, and the practice of carrying two names — a public one and a real one — follows from it. Her other half is agricultural, a cobra in the fields watching the harvest, because a cobra in a granary is a mouse problem being solved. She is the second of the three who stand at a birth.
