Renpet
Egyptian · deity · old kingdom · deity
Renpet is a unit of measurement with a face. The palm shoot is the hieroglyph for 'year' — a notched rib of it is what Heh and Seshat hold when they count a reign — and the word, made into a goddess, is called Mistress of Eternity. She is one of a large Egyptian family of deified abstractions where the god and the ordinary noun are the same word: Maat is rightness, Heka is magic, Hu is speech, Shai is fate, and Renpet is a year.
