AN EXPLANATION OF THE LUNAR PHASES BY MEANS OF A MAN WITH A BUCKET OF TAR, ATTESTED ACROSS THREE CENTURIES — the 1551 catalogue and the nineteenth-century thief-tales say the same thing. No relation is written: nothing in the sources connects him to Kuutar or to anyone else, and an edge from the moon-tarrer to the moon-maiden would be an invention. Carries a verified-solitary verdict instead.
