Gua

Gua is one of the older gods of Accra, patron of blacksmiths and associated with thunder and war; his cult, held by the Kpakpatse We family of the Asere quarter, parallels the smith and thunder gods of neighbouring Akan and Fon traditions. Field recorded his worship in the 1930s as an established, hereditary priesthood within the Ga capital.
