Thunder-Lord of Strength

Thunder-and-strength deity of the Garo. Included to give the Garo set its storm-god, paralleling Karei (Semang), U Lei Shyllong (Khasi) and Biliku (Andamanese). In oral tradition Goera is also a born hero who grows among humans, overcomes trials, teaches moral law and ascends to the sky. Male. Latin (Roman) script with Bengali transliteration noted.
