Creator God

Supreme creator-deity of the Garo Songsarek religion. The long honorific name is a string of -gipa agentive epithets ('the one who makes/creates/forms/fashions'). Garo is written in the Roman script (and historically Bengali); the term value uses Latin, with a Bengali transliteration noted where the language was rendered in that script. Playfair 1909 is the standard ethnography.
