Demigod Lapith king, son of the river Peneus; father of Cyrene (greek_cyrene_lapith, whose prose names 'Daughter of Hypseus, king of the Lapiths ... Her grandfather is the river-god Peneus'). Authored as the named-but-absent father. His own father Peneus and (in the Diodoran variant) Cyrene's mother Chlidanope lack corpus entries and are named rather than wired; the Pindaric mother of Hypseus is the naiad Creusa (distinct from greek_creusa_athens).
