High-god / sky-creator (deity). Distinct in function from the ancestral creator Mukuru: Ndjambi is the transcendent heaven-god, while Mukuru and the ancestors handle everyday petition. The compound name joins Ndjambi with Karunga, the same root as Ovambo Kalunga.
