The chaos-serpent of Hittite myth, adversary of the Storm-god in the tale recited at the purulli festival. In the first version Inara traps it through feasting; in the second it steals the Storm-god's heart and eyes before he recovers them through a half-mortal son and slays the dragon at the sea — a combat-myth cognate with the wider Indo-European dragon-slaying.
