Sirim is a younger daughter of the raven-creator Kutkh and Miti in the recorded Itelmen tales. She is usually paired with her brother Sisilkhan as the junior, unsuccessful counterpart of the elder siblings Ememkut and Sinanevt, running his errands of intrigue, and she also appears in independent comic misadventures, as when her father sends her outside to check the weather and the Wind carries her off in a blizzard. Meletinskii treats the Sisilkhan-Sirim pair as the Itelmen counterpart of the envious rival siblings of the wider Palaeo-Asiatic Raven cycle.
