Heavenly kami who descended to the Yamato region before Ninigi (per Sendai Kuji Hongi) or in parallel descent traditions. Married Tomi-ya-bime, sister of Nagasunehiko whom Jimmu later defeats. Father of Umashimaji, who founds the Mononobe priestly clan.
