Mingian, celebrated as the Finest Man in the Universe, is the paragon of beauty among the heroes of Bumba. His public name is bestowed in recognition of both his outward comeliness and the inner refinement and talent that accompany it, and he is numbered among the twelve great warriors who surround Jangar. In the aesthetic of the epic his beauty is itself a heroic attribute, complementing the martial virtues of his companions.
