Jabarbaba is one of the named pirs of Khinalug, the grave of a holy man, an övliya, believed to have lived in the village in the distant past. Like the other Khinalug shrines it is a site of supplication and vow-making, visited especially during Muslim festivals. Ethnography records the name but preserves little narrative about the saint's life.
