A GODDESS OF THE OUTHOUSE IS NOT A JOKE AND THE RECORD DOES NOT TREAT IT AS ONE. A system that gives a god to every part of a house gives one to that part too, and leaving her out because the room is undignified would be a modern reader's edit of a religion.
