A leading native champion, son of the hero Akbalta, who embodies the tension between the Kyrgyz heroes and the adopted foreigner Almambet. His jealousy of the favoured outsider drives a famous quarrel during the Great Campaign; he dies among the finest heroes lost in the victory.
