Wakáŋka (Kȟaŋká), the Old Woman and Witch, was a seer, wife of Wazí and mother of Ité. For her part in the deception at the Feast of the Gods she was sentenced by Škáŋ to dwell alone in the world until she should use her gifts to help children and the young.
