Ibabasuk is the Manobo deity who presides over the swidden field and the growth of its crops. Invoked at planting and stationed, in belief, at the centre of the cultivation, the deity guards the rice and other grains as they ripen and is propitiated to ensure a full field. Ibabasuk belongs to the agricultural tier of the Agusan Manobo pantheon recorded by Garvan, complementing the deity of the completed harvest.
