Meadow Mari ⟨Шочынава⟩ Šočyn Ava (šoč- 'to be born' + ava 'mother'). A solitary mother-power; her birth-tutelage complements the moon-god Tõlze's guardianship of marriage and birth. Part of the ava series with Mlande-Ava, Tul-Ava and Mardezh-Ava.
