Noin Namesh Koa is named in the Shoma Wetsa cycle as a husband of the cannibal grandmother and the father of Rane Topne. His decisive act is protective rather than heroic: by hiding and sheltering his son he ensures the survival of the one child who will grow to destroy the man-eating ogress and bring her age to an end.
