Ahalmez
Maya · deity · mythic · Recorded classification
This is the pair with the clearest social function. Sweep the house or these two will be in it: a rule about domestic hygiene enforced by named agents of the underworld, and a reminder that the Popol Vuh's lords of death were also how a K'iche' household explained why someone died in the night.
