Iqui Balam

There are four men and three gods, and the arithmetic is the interesting part: Iqui Balam is in the list and then quietly is not in the settlement. The K'iche' who produced the book had three ruling lineages and needed a founder for each; the fourth man is the seam where a four-part formula met a three-part political reality. The book does not explain him away and neither does this record.
