Lady Six Sky
Maya · mortal · classic · mortal
The emblem glyph is the tell. A Classic Maya ruler's title names the polity, and she never took Naranjo's — she used her father's city's for sixty years while running Naranjo's wars, which is the epigraphic signature of power without office. She arrived at fifteen, restarted a dynasty that had collapsed, put a son on the throne and went on campaigning. In a corpus that carried no Maya rulers at all, the omission of the ones who were women was not a separate omission, but it is worth saying that two of the twenty-three here are queens and a third outranked her husband.
