Yax Pasaj Chan Yopaat

Altar Q is a dynasty's last king carving a picture of the first one handing him the right to rule, twenty-five years after the city's most famous king was beheaded by a vassal and about forty years before the line stopped. It is also, by accident, the best single source for Classic Maya dynastic history, because it names all sixteen in order. His father Smoke Shell is not in the registry and not written here: the sources reachable in this session name him and give him nothing else.
