Misikinubik, the Great Horned Serpent, is the monstrous horned snake of the underworld waters, greatest of the serpent-powers that lie beneath lakes and rapids. Bearing horns and, in some tellings, a crest of copper, it is a bringer of storm and drowning and a giver of dangerous power to those who dare to treat with it. With the underwater panther it belongs to the powers that Manabus fought to avenge the Wolf, and it is a chief object of the Thunderers' hunt across the sky.
