Enmaḫgalanna
Mesopotamian · quartigod · ur iii · quartigod
Quartigod daughter of Šulgi; en-priestess (high-priestess) of Nanna at Ur during her father's reign. Continued the Akkadian-period royal-female-priestess office founded by Enheduanna ~250 years earlier — the Ur III en-priestesses were the canonical-female-cultural-religious-power figures of the dynasty.
