Condor

Miwok · demigod · myth age (first people / animal people time) · demigod

Mol'-luk the Condor is one of the great First People of Miwok (Mewan) mythology as recorded by C. Hart Merriam. In the plains and Sierra Miwok cycles he is the companion of O-let'-te (Coyote-man) and the father of Wek'-wek the Falcon, who hatches from an egg on Condor Rock and later searches the world for his father. His genealogy — Coyote, Condor, Falcon — forms the central divine family of the Miwok creation cycle.
