Erzya/Moksha ⟨Тол ава⟩ Tol ava (tol 'fire' + ava 'mother'). Fire was tended and tabooed in the Mordvin household; Tol-ava is its owner. Parallel to the Mari fire-spirit and to the wider Finno-Ugric hearth-mother concept.
