Brokkr
Norse · numen · mythic prehistoric · Recorded classification
Mjölnir is in this registry as an item and the men who made it were not in it as figures. The hammer's short handle, which is its one defect, is the fly's doing: Brokkr let go of the bellows for a moment to swat it. The lawyer's argument Loki uses to keep his head — you own the head but not the neck — is the oldest joke about contracts in Germanic literature and it works.
