Nkekete
Nyakyusa · deity · Nyakyusa traditional religion; continuing · deity
Nkekete is named in the Nyakyusa charter of origins as one of the four god-like brothers who came from Ukinga, bringing fire, iron-working and new crops to the highland peoples. He is the most shadowy of the four, remembered chiefly through the myth of the brothers' arrival rather than through a developed cult of his own.
