Founder-figure of the Oyo dynasty. Founded Old Oyo on the savanna, then returned to Ile-Ife. Father of Shango, Ajaka, and (by Erinmwinde of Benin) of Eweka I — making him the bridge figure between the Yoruba and Edo dynastic traditions. Cross-listed in Edo.
