THE FIRST OF GOD'S THREE TEARS FOR BATRAZ. These are the three great Ossetian sanctuaries, and the epic makes them heavenly-dwellers rather than mere places — which is why they are held as figures. The corpus already had the tears, on Batraz's own record, and not one of the three. Rekom is also named among the great shrines of Uastyrdzhi.
