Pebatjma

Mortal Kushite queen of the 25th-Dynasty Napatan royal line; mother of pharaoh Shabaka (~720-705 BCE per the canonical Kahn-Jurman 2009 Kushite chronology); daughter of Kashta (the founding king of the Kushite-Napatan dynasty, ~752-732 BCE). Her matrilineal position anchored the Kushite-royal-succession through the Sister-Wife / King's-Mother (mut-nesu) institution that defined Kushite-Napatan dynastic-legitimacy distinctly from the parallel Egyptian patrilineal model. Attested through the Shabaka-stelae inscriptional record at Karnak and Gebel Barkal, including the famous Shabaka Stone (British Museum EA 498) preserving the Memphite Theology cosmogonic text.
