Devana

Weight low, and the record says why on its face: most contemporary scholars do not regard the Annales as a reliable source for Slavic mythology and doubt that such a deity existed. Długosz's method was to read Roman gods onto Poland — he supplies a Slavic Jupiter, a Slavic Ceres, a Slavic Pluto and a Slavic Diana, in order, which is not how pantheons are found. She is ingested rather than rejected for one reason: the name is real and old in Polish, dziewanna is still the word for mullein, and the figure has been a fixed part of the Polish tradition for five hundred years on the strength of the entry. A registry of what traditions hold should hold her, at low weight, with the objection attached. The cultRecords array is empty because there is no cult to record — that is the objection.
