He is the best-attested god in this whole tradition and the registry did not have him, which is the central oddity of the Slavic holding: the corpus had the reconstructed abstractions and not the god whose statue a named twelfth-century writer stood in front of and measured. The four heads face the four directions; the horn was filled with wine each year and the level in it the following year was read as the harvest forecast. Saxo describes all of it, in detail, in the course of explaining why it was right to pull it down.
